Dr. Jon Winsten

Jon Winsten is an agricultural and environmental economist with more than 20 years of experience working on issues of agriculture and the environment. His focus has been on the issues of water quality and climate change, particularly the adoption of appropriate technology for reducing production costs and improving environmental performance at the farm level, as well as agri-environmental policy analysis and development. At Winrock International, Winsten leads several projects related to agri-environmental policy, economic incentives for environmental performance from agriculture and sustainable livestock production systems. He has taught courses and worked in the U.S., Central and South America, and Asia.
