AWBC Cares

Since the onset of COVID-19 crisis, the AWBC has received many requests for support. Most AWBC clients and small businesses in Arkansas’s rural towns are microbusinesses or single member LLC owners. The demand for assistance and clarity regarding SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan Emergency Advance and the Paycheck Protection Program has been staggering. The opportunity for supplemental CARES Act funds will bolster AWBC’s capacity to reach all of those requesting assistance, and it will enable the AWBC to cast a wider net to reach small business owners who are often overlooked or unaware that such assistance exists.

The AWBC understands that small businesses are the life blood of our nation and many are facing unprecedented declines in gross revenue and sales. The AWBC will provide education, training, and business advising to small businesses that have experienced a decrease in gross receipts or customers or a closure as a result of COVID-19.

Technical assistance, access to capital, mentorship, and peer-to-peer engagement are some of the AWBC’s top requested services.
