Winrock International

Niger

Since launching our work in Niger in the 1990s, Winrock has sought to improve the quality of life, income and well-being of the country’s citizens. Winrock projects have worked to increase access to education for girls and improve information and communications technology infrastructure. Programs to improve agronomic practices and technologies have increased crop yields and incomes for farmers. And Winrock has endeavored to increase access to potable water, which is a key current focus in Niger, where the Winrock-implemented Sustainable Water Partnership is working to build resilience and enhance water security among vulnerable populations.
