Winrock’s efforts in the Balkan nation are focused on laying the groundwork for the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies and industries, as well as low emission development strategies. Winrock activities have already resulted in multiple improvements in national laws and procedures — eliminating or improving policy and regulatory barriers in the way of developing renewable energy technology.
