American Journal of Alternative Agriculture
The American Journal of Alternative Agriculture (AJAA) is a scientific forum for disseminating technical, economic, and social research
findings about the character and requirements of alternative/sustainable agricultural systems. It was launched in 1986 and published for 16 years (through 2001)
by the Henry A. Wallace Institute for Alternative Agriculture and its successor organization, the Henry A. Wallace Center for Agricultural & Environmental Policy
at Winrock International.
The Wallace Center transferred ownership of the AJAA, effective November 2001, to CABI Publishing, a leading international, nonprofit publisher in applied
life sciences, based in the United Kingdom. CABI Publishing proceeds with Volume 17 (2002), published in print and on the Internet. The Wallace Center will continue
to serve in an advisory capacity, helping to chart the Journal’s future shape and direction.
