Innovation Initiative: Water

Winrock International has a long history of development work in water-related issues, spanning 90 projects in 29 countries. The primary focus is to increase income and food security for the rural poor and generate tangible environmental benefits.

The Water Initiative, established in 2005, explores two important areas of interest that have grassroots relevance and the potential for substantial impact in rural areas:
  • Women, Water and Governance
  • Multiple Use Water Systems
