Winrock: Putting Ideas to Work. That's our motto, but how do we make it a reality?
Winrock's Internal Grants Program is one way that we support our staff to take
risks and test ideas to make development work better for poor people.
Since 2004, the program has provided $650,000 in seed money for 29 original projects
designed and implemented by Winrock staff. Internal grants have supported everything
from farmers' Internet kiosks in Nepal to ecostoves in Nicaragua, but they all have
one thing in common: innovation.
