Assessing Off-Grid Renewable Energy Technology in Pakistan
RATIONALEWorld Bank put out a RFA for this study. Winrock International bid for it based on its extensive experience in this field from our work in countries in the region (Nepal, India, Sri Lanka) as well as in other countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. The results of the study will provide the basis for scaling up this sector in Pakistan and Winrock will have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to this.
OBJECTIVES
The objective of this assignment is to carry out an assessment of the experience in Pakistan so far with off-grid renewable energy technologies and propose a policy and governance framework for how this sector may be scaled up.
