Empowering Women for Leadership and Economic Advancement
Winrock International strengthens the capacity of women to actively participate in local and national development and to transform their societies. Scholarships
and training programs provide the skills women need to succeed and to enter new fields. Life skills, employment and entrepreneurship programs enable women
to improve their lives and incomes and those of their families. Enhancing educational opportunities for girls ensures more promising futures for the next
generation. And particularly important in women's empowerment is to work in partnership with community leaders and male leaders to understand local
development through a gender framework.
